Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said that the first and foremost responsibility of the state now is to hold the civic polls in a successful manner.
Addressing the province-3 gathering of National Federation of Indigenous Nationalities Nepal and training programme in the capital on Wednesday, Prime Minister Dahal commented that the conduction of local level elections would itself be a victory of his party.
Also Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Dahal asserted that the new constitution has institutionalized the agendas including federalism, republic, democracy, inclusion, proportional participation and secularism which his party has been advocating since the people's war.
The Prime Minister underlined the need to make local election a success for the implementation of the constitution.
Election is must to make the foundation of federalism stronger, he said, adding all parties should participate in local elections to preserve the achievements of change.
He underlined the need of Maoist unity and commented that the time has proved Maoist a nationalist and pro-people political force.
PM Dahal presented the details of achievements made by his government which includes cut-off of load-shedding hours, initiative to complete mega projects in a rapid manner, start-up of the construction of postal highway and fast-track and maintaining balanced relations with neighbours.
