The third Annual General Meeting of Australasian Nepalese Medical and Dental Association has been successfully held in Adelaide on the 7th of October.
The AGM was held in two parts – one in the morning which featured presentations of high caliber and clinical significance by Dr. Chandra Pokharel, Dr. Kush Shrestha, Dr. Anju Pandey, Dr. Sarbin Ranjitkar, and Dr. Arjun Burlakoti.
The AGM was attended by ANMDA members from all Australian States – ACT, NSW, SA, TAS, and VIC.
The AGM adopted the principles and the directions of the outgoing teams. A new executive team was formed under the leadership of Dr. Ghana Chapagain.
The second part of the AGM, which was held in the evening consisted of a gala dinner cum cultural program. The chief guest of the night was Nepalese Ambassador to Australia, Her Excellency Lucky Sherpa. As new Vice President of ANMDA, Dr. Chandra Deepak Pokhrel, thanked Her Excellency for her support towards ANMDA’s vision to work with the Govt. of Nepal. He, on behalf of ANMDA, said that shall endeavour to work towards the possibility of creating a partnership of mutual benefits.
The ANMDA thanked its outgoing president, Dr. Keshav Bhattarai for his tireless efforts. The association also extended its thanks to everyone who made the AGM a grand success, with a special note of mention to Dr. Kush Shrestha, Dr. Deepak Bista, and Ms. Punam Pant for organizing the AGM.
The ANMDA also thanked its sponsor NAB, and Odhavji Group. A special thanks was mentioned to Mr. Ashish Acharya for his support throughout the three years.
