‘Team Nepal’ this year shall be contending for Australia’s prestigious ‘Melbourne Renegade Championship’. Amongst the many who registered to play, and after a scrutinizing selection process16 players have been chose to represent Team Nepal.

Based upon points accumulated after the games above, the winner shall proceed to play against finalists of other states. Team Nepal is very enthusiastic and excited upon being selected and determined to give their best.

Manager Gaire has appealed for community support during their matches. “Players will be motivated if Nepalis come in and cheer for them with the national flag”, he added.

Melbourne Renegades every year also hosts a Big Bash Cricket Tournament. There is a probable chance that you play for their team based upon your play during the tournament. The selected player is called a ‘Community Rookie’. This is the first time six of eight South Asian countries are participating in this tournament – Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka.
