Sunam Gautam, famous in the Nepali community of Australia for his cricket skills shall be heading to Nepal to play “Everest Premier League”, scheduled to start on the 18th of December. He will be playing for Chitwan Tigers in the tournament which will be held in Kirtipur Cricket Ground.
Sunam Gautam is a star in the Nepali Community of Australia. His skills in cricket have earned him fame from other communities as well, often being cited as a good example. He is the captain of the Nepali Cricket team in Australia and recently led Nepal in the Renegades Champion League (South Asia).
Tara Gaire, team manager and NAV’s Vice President was quoted calling Sunam a pillar of Nepal’s cricket. “We wish him the best in the tournament”, he added. Sunam’s trip is being sponsored by BMW Education, whom he thanked talking to the media.
Other players in Chitwan Tigers include Dipendra Singh, who recently led Nepal into victory against India in the Asian Youth Cricket Cup. Prithu Baskota and Subhas Khakurel shall also be playing for Chitwan Tigers.
Chitwan Tigers shall play their first match against Pokhara Rhinos on December 19.
